See you at the felt.

Poker Etiquette. Casino -vs- Home Game

When you sit back and think about it, do we conduct ourselves the same way at a Casino as we would (do) at a home game? I think not. How many times have you heard at a home game the following: You have to call, keep him honest. Don't let him steal another pot. He's trying to push you around..call him. He's the bounty...you have to call.

I don't imagine many of the above comments would be appreciated at a Casino, but seem to be fine in a home game. The rule one player to a hand seems to apply everywhere except the place where friends play.

This is one player that you will never and I mean NEVER hear try to convince another player to make a call.

WSOP Circuit Indiana

If you go to the www.worldseriesofpoker.com web site, you can get the information for the WSOP circuit event in Indiana. Just more info. See you at the felt.

WSOP coming to Indiana

The World Series of Poker circuit events are coming to Elizabeth, Indian. The tournaments run from mid October till the end of the month. Mapquest says that it it alost 5 1/2 hrs from Toledo area to Elizabeth, Indiana. If you go to www.harrahs.com, you can click on casino locator to get to the Indiana casino page. From there, you click on the WSOP chip to get a list of all buy ins. The lowest buy in I believe I seen was $300+$40. Just sharing some information. See you at the felt.

Playing A K to raise in front of you

Ace King...How powerful is it?? You see it everywhere, a player gets Ace King and he is "ALL IN". Is that really the right play? When it comes to Texas Hold 'em, the correct answer seems to always be...that depends.
Depends on chip stack, position, stacks at the table, players style, how close you are to the money. Mike "the mouth" Matasow stated in an interview that if there is a raise and a call in front of him, he folds AK everythime. Last I checked, Mr. Matasow has more bracelets and has won more $$ than me so maybe he is on to something...
Just something to ponder. See you at the felt.

12,000 in the 2007 Main Event???

It is believed that there is a real good chance that the 2007 Main Event will have 12,000 or more players. This is absolutely crazy. During the 2006 Main Event, there were more than 8,000 with over 50% coming from on line qualifiers. To me this is entirely to many on line players. There should be a cap on how many each on line site can qualify. I say cap it at 200 and let everyone else buy there way in. It would reduce the time the event takes and reduce the millions and millions of chips in play. Let's get back to determining who the best player is by who wins the Main Event. At this rate, the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. game should be the championship!!!
